Significant Cases Handled
I’ve represented taxpayers before the IRS and won decisions in favor of the taxpayer (In re QE Technology) and our team has won state tax decisions as well (In re Pearlberg) . I’ve defended foreclosures and won money suing banks for predatory lending practices (In re Mundheck). I’ve filed large bankruptcy cases under chapters 7, 11 and 13. I’ve represented construction (In re Hall’s Excavation) and professionals (In re Ohio Health Care) as well as handled multi-million dollar real estate work-outs (In re Columbus Urban Growth). The majority of our cases do not end up in litigation because we work with you to find a solution that is in your best interest. It’s very important to us to humbly help one person at a time achieve their objective.
Recognized as a year 2007 “Super Lawyer” and pictured on the Cover of the October 2007 edition of the American Bar Association magazine, I am also a former ABA business group coordinator and Best of Sections editor. More recently, I was named a 2013 “Top Lawyer.” For 20 years I was Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification and I am currently a fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation. I am also a former OSBA Section Chair. On a personal note, I am proud that I worked my way through law school and raised a family while being self-employed. I enjoy being both a Mason and a Shriner. Being self-employed has provided the flexibility for my wife and I to take our show dog to Westminster.
